TBM14M Thomas & Betts Hydraulic Crimper, 14 Ton Insulated-Head
Thomas and Betts, a leader in the electrical industry, makes the TBM14M Color-Keyed hydraulic compression tool for copper and aluminum connectors, lugs, C-, H- and bus bar taps for #8 AWG - 1000 kcmil (MCM) wire. It features 14-ton compression force, insulated head, rapid-ram advance mechanism, replaceable bypass cartridge and short fiberglass handles.
The TBM14M comes in a carrying case. Thomas & Betts connectors and tools are UL and CSA approved as a system. This 15.4-pound tool measures 24" x 4-1/2". The 15-ton dies must be ordered separately in the TNB200 die kit or individually. They are color-keyed and embossed onto the connectors for easy inspection.

The TBM14 self-contained hydraulic crimping tool installs copper and aluminum Color-Keyed® connectors; copper and aluminum lugs and two-way connectors to 750 MCM; copper C-taps through #54775, aluminum H-taps through #63150 plus grid connectors through 250 MCM, 5/8" rod. It offers an insulated head, rapid-ram advance mechanism for fast installation, field-replaceable bypass cartridge and short fiberglass handles for confined work spaces.
