Thomas & Betts Dies

Thomas and Betts Dies provide reliable connections for constructing, maintaining and managing electrical and telecom networks. They are used in conjunction with compression crimping tools to crimp lugs, splices, pigtails and H/C-taps. T&B dies are all color-coded to match the connector that it is designed to crimp. This Color-Keyed die/connector system assures installers that the proper compression die is being used to crimp the connector to provide a dependable, permanent connection. All Thomas and Betts Dies emboss a die index number on copper code and aluminum lugs, splices, H-taps and C-taps when crimped which match the index number on these connections as well, allowing quick and easy inspection of the connection in the future.

Carbon Steel Dies have been the standard compression connection die for use with electrical systems for years. Thomas and Betts has designed a new line of Stainless Steel Color-Keyed Dies. They are manufactured from a stronger, non-corrosive 304 stainless steel, which improves the lifespan of the die and provides a stronger crimp. Die embossing is deeper, when using the new T&B compression dies, which means identification stamps will last longer.

Thomas & Betts is transitioning their compression connector die line of products towards the improved Stainless Steel Crimping Dies. The Carbon Steel Color-Keyed Compression Dies will only be available while supplies last!
