The model DTAPKIT is designed to tap up to 10-gauge metal. The back taper beyond the tap prevents thread damage from over-drilling. A deburr/countersink also is provided on the bit beyond the back taper. This set's six drill/tap bits are made from high-speed steel instead of carbon steel to ensure longer longer life. High-quality hex shanks ensure strong connection to drill chuck.

Specifications include: material thickness (10 g), material type (mild steel, copper, brass and aluminum), shank (1/4" quick-change hex), drill material (high-speed steel) and drill point (split point with web thinning).
