The Safeguard CE60LV 60Hz Compass LV (Low Voltage) Personal Non-Contact Voltage and Current Detector features operating voltages: 120VAC-2400VAC RMS Line to Neutral, 7 sensitivity levels and Smart Adaptive Mode. The unit ensures 360° proximity awareness of danger on a work site. The rugged clips firmly attach to any hard hat. It can also function on a wrist strap, clipped on a lanyard, or mounted on a hot stick. Rechargeable 250mAh LiPo battery can provide 10+ days of operation (full charge).

Details

The Compass offers visual and audible alerts to notify of distance and direction of the energized source. High setting is used mainly for storm scenarios. The smart adaptive setting is useful for working around energized fields when you want to maintain a notification if there is an increase in the electric field and you are moving closer to an energized source in the vicinity of your work area. RED lights indicate voltage detection, BLUE lights - current. Audible alerts can be muted. Self-test function runs every 10 minutes. Use the Compass as a safety precaution for storm restoration for phone, internet and cable while doing pole work. Any of the lines could be energized without the field repair and installers knowing.
