Tempo AT8LK LAN Tone and Probe Kit
The Tempo Communications AT8LK Tone and Probe LAN Toner Kit is used on any wiring system including datacom, telecom, security, audio and CAT 5/6. It features blink hub, switch port and selectable tone outputs to identify multiple cable runs. The AT8LK can be used as a series-connectable breakout adapter for connecting other test equipment. It works with both six-position (RJ11) and eight-position (RJ45) plugs and jacks.
The AT8LK tone and probe kit includes the LAN Toner 2 with 24" leads & RJ11/45 & alligator clips, inductive amplifier, manuals and a polyester carry case. Requires 9-V battery. The 1.3-pound kit is 10.5" x 4.25" x 2".
To meet the diverse demands of the network professional, the AT8L incorporates a host of features. It has two selectable tone outputs for multiple line identification, continuity testing, polarity indication for fast outlet identification plus eight-position modular breakout tabs for testing both datacom and telecom. Includes low-battery indication and automatic shut-off to preserve battery life. The included adjustable-volume inductive amplifier has a visual-signal indicator. A special probe tip protects against damage to sensitive electronics.
Use the AT8L to trace any twisted-pair cable including terminated CAT 5/6 and perform basic testing on LAN cabling. Blink hub, switch port and PC activity lights for fast identification. Detect active hubs and switches. Send tone, check continuity and test telephone line polarity on any pair.
