The OWL IS-KIT-Q Installer Series Auto-Wavelength Quad Test Kit is designed to certify multimode and single mode fiber optic links against most cabling standards, including two user-customizable standards. It features the Fiber OWL 4 (FO-4) optical power meter with automatic wavelength recognition, built-in loss wizard, USB interface and OWL Reporter software. The WaveSource quad light source is used for 850/ 1300nm multimode and 1310/ 1550nm single mode networks. Data storage allows for up to 1000 data points. Use absolute or relative modes, selective view, delete and resample data points.
The OWL IS-KIT-Q test kit is NIST traceable, 10-Gig Ethernet ready and Encircled Flux compliant when used with EF-compliant mode controller cables.

The Fiber OWL 4 optical power meter is a small, portable device capable of measuring at specific wavelength calibrations for 850, 980, 1300, 1310, 1490, 1550, 1625nm wavelengths with 0.01 dB resolution, measurement range between +5 and -70 dBm and accuracy of +/- 0.15 dB. This device has an InGaAs photodetector, 2.5mm universal adapter port for ST, SC and FC connectors, plus 1.25mm universal adapter port for LC, MU, and other SFF connectors. It operates on a standard 9V battery up to 100 hours. The WaveSource quad light source is capable of taking measurements on multimode fiber installments at 850 and 1300nm wavelengths, as well as single mode at 1310 and 1550nm. It features an SC type connector and runs for up to 30 hours using a 9V battery.
