Fluke 87V True RMS Digital Multimeter
The Fluke® 87-5 DMM has improved resolution and accuracy to solve most problems related to electro-mechanical equipment. This enhanced model has a unique function for accurate voltage and frequency measurements on adjustable-speed motor drives and other electrically noisy equipment. It measures AC voltage (1000V), current (10A), frequency to 200 kHz and capacitance to 10,000 µF. A built-in thermometer allows you to take temperature readings conveniently without having to carry a separate instrument. The temperature probe allows measurements from -328° to +1994°F.
The 87V digital multimeter is supplied with TL75 test leads, 80BK temperature probe, AC72 alligator clips, holster, 9V battery, manual and CD. The 1.38-pound unit measures 1.25" x 3.41" x 7.35". Limited lifetime warranty.
The Fluke 87V True-RMS Industrial DMM with temperature has improved measurement functions, trouble-shooting features, resolution and accuracy to solve more problems on motor drives, in plant automation, power distribution and electro-mechanical equipment. It provides safety, convenience and impact protection for maximum productivity.
The tester offers 0.05% DC accuracy, 4 1/2-digit mode for precise measurements (20,000 counts) and peak capture to record transients as fast as 250 µs. Large display digits with bright white, two-level backlight make the 87V significantly easier to read than older models. Other standard features include 6000 counts, 3 3/4 digits, measurements up to 1000 V AC/DC and 10 A (20 A for up to 30 seconds), frequency to 200 kHz and duty cycle, plus resistance, continuity and diode test. You get 10,000-µF capacitance range, Min/Max-Average recording with Min/Max Alert, relative mode, auto and manual ranging, Touch Hold and analog bargraph.
The tester includes Input Alert, selectable sleep mode, battery access door and classic design with removable holster plus built-in test lead and probe storage. All inputs are protected to Category III, 1000 V and Category IV 600 V. The 87V can withstand impulses in excess of 8000 V and reduce risks related to surges and spikes. It is independently tested to comply with the second edition of ANSI/ISA S82.01 and EN61010-1 CAT IV 600 V/CAT III 1000 V.
