The EXFO FLS-241 Pocket Pal Visual Fault Locator is a robust, cost-effective device for locating faults inside of OTDR dead zones. It can easily identify both multimode and single mode fibers from end to end as well as locate polished connector endfaces. Using a bright red laser light, the FLS-241 locates faults visually by having the light pinpoint the exact location of the fault. With an operation cycle of 2 to 4 Hz, a 5-km range of usage and a wavelength range of up to 640 nm, the Pocket Pal is a versatile and cost-effective tool for fiber evaluation. In addition to these features, the Pocket Pal VFL is designed for optimal ruggedness in response to harsh environmental conditions and has rubber seals, fully enclosed laser heads, and a utilizes a 2.5mm universal connector. This device is also highly efficient and can operate for 50 hours on two AAA alkaline batteries.
