The AFL CKD2-00-0902PR Contractor Multimode / Single Mode Optical Loss Test Set combines CSS1-MM dual LED source, CSS1-SM dual laser source and CSM1-2 power meter. Sources have dual output (850/1300-nm LED or 1310/1550-nm laser). The meter operates at 850, 1300, 1310 and 1550 nm.
This Fiber Test Set includes: CSS1-MM Dual LED source, CSS1-SM Dual Laser souce, CSM1-2 power meter, 2.5-mm universal adapter cap, UCI-SC connector, 50- and 62.5-µm mandrels, six AA alkaline batteries and user's guide in a soft carrying case. The cost-effective CKD2-00-0902PR Contractor Series Multimode and Single Mode Test Kit is designed to perform insertion loss measurements on multimode and single mode fiber optic links. It features reference power level storage, long battery life, automatic power-off function and battery gauge.
The CSS1-MM and CSS1-SM are light sources that feature dual output (850/1300-nm LED or 1310/1550-nm laser, respectively) from a single output port. Each model specifies in a different type of fiber (Multimode and Single Mode respectively), but both offer two modes of operation: continuous wave (CW) and user-selectable modulated tone. Both the MM and SM light sources are equipped with backlit LCD displays and output ports that are stabilized to ensure accurate test results per current TIA/EIA requirements. The CSS1-MM's output port features a fixed SC connector while the CSS1-SM output port has a Universal Connector Interface (UCI) base and SC adapter. The CSM1-2 optical power meter will identify fibers using 270-, 330-, 1000- and 2000-Hz test tone detection. It operates at 850, 1300, 1310 and 1550 nm and stores optical references for each calibrated wavelength. All units are compact, convenient for field use and fully N.I.S.T. traceable.
