OWL IS-KIT-M Installer Series Multimode Fiber Test Kit, SC
The OWL IS-KIT-M Installer Series Auto-Wavelength Test Kit is designed to certify multimode fiber optic links against most cabling standards, including two user-customizable standards. It features the Fiber OWL 4 (FO-4) optical power meter with automatic wavelength recognition, built-in loss wizard, USB interface and OWL Reporter software. The WaveSource multimode LED light source has a single-port, dual-wavelength output (850nm/ 1300nm). Data storage allows for up to 1000 data points. Use absolute or relative modes, selective view, delete and resample data points.
The test kit includes the Fiber OWL 4 optical power meter, WaveSource MM light source, OWL Reporter software, product manuals, download cable, 9-volt batteries, NIST certificate, carrying case, and protective rubber boots.
The IS-KIT-M is NIST traceable, 10-Gig Ethernet ready and Encircled Flux compliant when used with EF-compliant mode controller cables.

The Fiber OWL 4 optical power meter is a small, portable device capable of measuring at specific wavelength calibrations for 850, 980, 1300, 1310, 1490, 1550, 1625nm wavelengths with 0.01 dB resolution, measurement range between +5 and -70 dBm and accuracy of +/- 0.15 dB. This device has an InGaAs photodetector, 2.5mm universal adapter port for ST, SC and FC connectors, plus 1.25mm universal adapter port for LC, MU, and other SFF connectors. It operates on a standard 9V battery up to 100 hours. The WaveSource MM light source is capable of taking measurements on multimode fiber installments at 850 and 1300nm wavelengths. It features an SC type connector and runs for up to 30 hours using a 9V battery.
