Wilcom F6225 Extended Range Optical Fiber Identifier w/ Display
The Wilcom F6225 Extended Range Optical Fiber Identifier is ideal for the telecommunications and CATV industry. Non-destructive macro-bend detection will not interrupt service or damage fiber. It detects low frequency test tones at 270 Hz, 1000 Hz, and 2000 Hz and provides different audible tones.
The F6225 optical fiber identifier includes the main unit, carrying pouch, three interchangeable field adapter heads, 900 µm buffered fiber, ribbon or 250 µm coated fiber and 3mm jacketed fiber.
The Wilcom F6225 Extended Range Optical Fiber Identifier is a simple handheld device that identifies optical single mode fibers by detecting optical signs being transmitted through a fiber using local detection technology also known as non-destructive macro-bending which eliminates the need to open the fiber at a splice point. It has an ambient light reduction shield to reduce interference of ambient light during usage as well as LED indication for tone detection, traffic presence and direction, and low battery. A display allows user to monitor relative core power.
The F6225 fiber identifier has a spectral response between 850 nm to 1700 nm and a detector sensitivity of -45 dBm, and a relative core power reading between+24dBm to -58dBm with typical loss of less than 0.16 db. It is compatible with Wilcom's stabilized Laser or LED sources for optimized fiber optic identification.
