3M 2501 Fibrlok Fiber Optic Assembly Tool

3M 2501 Fibrlok Assembly Tool, used with 3M Fibrlok universal fiber splices, utilizes V-groove technology and does not require epoxy. Prepare fiber ends and complete splice within 30 seconds. This fiber optic mechanical splice has an insertion loss <.2dB and the optical fiber has a retention of >7.75 lbs. It features low reflection characteristics of -35dB and thermal stability of -40°C to 80°C. The Fibrlok fiber optic mechanical splice is designed to accommodate 250-900µm buffer sizes.

The assembly tool has fiber alignment guides (2), splice holding cradle, pivoted handle, fiber retention pads, toggle arms, finger cutout and fiber cleave length gauge. Instruction labels (2) are convenient for fast operation.
