AFL S018318 Fujikura 45S Fusion Splicer Kit w/CT50 Cleaver
The AFL S018318 Fujikura 45S Single Fiber Fusion Splicing Kit offers a splicer with cladding alignment, automatic fusion control and Bluetooth, plus CT50 fiber cleaver. The 45S has a simultaneous fiber preparation capability (2 fibers), automated sheath clamp opening and faster tube heater. It provides 6-second splicing in SM FAST mode and 15 to 22-second heat time for 60mm sleeves. The splicer is used with SM and MM fibers, approx. 125µm cladding diameter and up to 3mm coating diameter. It has 20,000 results storage, 100 splice and 30 heat modes, plus adjustable 5" touchscreen monitor. The unit is shock, dust and moisture resistant.
The 45S comes with CT-50 cleaver, single fiber stripper, 1 pair each FH-70-250 and FH-70-900 fiber holders, set plates, spare electrodes (pair), AC adapter, BTR-17 battery pack, power cord, USB cable, work tray, fiber scrap collector, fiber adapter for CT-50/CT-16, and a carry case. 1 year warranty.
The 45S fusion splicer features a 5" LCD monitor with touch screen, 132 to 300x magnification, 15-17 sec. heat time in 60mm slim mode, 100 splice and 30 heat modes. The internal memory stores up to 20,000 splices and 100 images. Electrode life is up to 6,000 arc discharges.
If the cleaved fiber is accidentally set past the electrode centerline, manual operation is not required. The 45S is designed to accept this mistake and reverse the fiber to correct position automatically.
