FBK-54 EXFO FiberBasix FTTH Single Mode Fiber Optic Test Kit
The EXFO FBK-54 FiberBasix Single Mode Optical Loss Test Set allows for testing of passive optical networks at 1310, 1490 & 1550-nm wavelengths. The FTTH-ready testers include the EPM-53X power meter with high-powered InGaAS detector, universal 2.5mm adapter and FC adapter, plus the ELS-50-235BL-RB laser light source with FC adapter. The optical power meter is capable of running high power tests on both CATV and Telecommunication applications with Enterprise/LAN for single mode and multimode measurements. It has a power range of 26 to -50 dBm with a total of five calibrated wavelengths and a resolution of 0.01 dB.
The FBK-54 Test kit includes the EPM-53X power meter, ELS-50-235BL light source, carrying case, PMA-54 and PMA-32 power meter adapters, LSA-91 and LSA-90 light source adapters, soft pouch, FC connector adapters for both the power meter and light source, rubber boots, InGaAs detector, and 1310/1490/1550 nm laser. The ELS-50-235BL Single Mode FC Laser Light Source is used to test optical loss in singlemode fiber networks from EXFO's FiberBasix 50 tester series. This laser light source is capable of running high power tests on CATV, Telecommunication, and FTTH applications for dual and triple wavelengths with Enterprise/LAN for singlemode measurements. It can measure at central wavelengths of 1310, 1490, and 1550 nm with a spectral width 5 nm, an output power of -5 dBm, and power stability of 0.10 dB. This light source is capable of performing tone recognition for fiber identification and utilizes interchangeable connector adapters for maximum efficiency. It has an overall battery life of over 60 hours and utilizes an FC connector type.
