EXFO FLS-140 Visual Fault Locator / VFL with 2.5mm Interface

The EXFO FLS-140 Visual Fault Locator with 2.5mm interface finds breaks, bends, faulty connectors, splices and other cases of signal loss up to 5km. It is ideal for locating faults in OTDR dead zones. This VFL operates at 2-3 Hz with a wavelength of 650 to 660 nm with a power output of 0.6 mW and a typical distance range of 5km. A bright red glow will show at the exact location of the fault on both single mode or multimode optical fibers. It is made of lightweight anodized aluminum casing and has a pocket-sized pen-style design making it convenient for any field technician. Two standard AAA alkaline batteries will typically provide up to 40 hours of uninterrupted operation.
