Corning RST-000 Ribbon Splitting Tool

The Corning RST-000 High-Precision Ribbon Splitting Tool is designed to separate 4-, 6-, 8-, 12-, 24- and 36-fiber ribbons in mid-span or at the cable end, without damaging other fibers. It features multiple slots that allow separating the ribbon into smaller ribbons with varying fiber counts: 2/2, 2/4, 2/6, 4/4, 2/10, 4/8, 6/6, 12/12 and 12/24. The tool is bi-directional, ribbons can be pulled through the slider in either direction. The splicing performance is quick and safe, without disturbing the continuity of other fibers.

The RST-000 splitting tool comes with a cleaning brush. It can split a ribbon up to a length of 0.5 m (20 in) before the tool needs cleaning. For mid-span applications, the lid must always be OPENED to accept the ribbon.
